The Circular Communities Scotland team would like to extend a huge thank you to our members and the sector for helping make our 2022 Annual Conference ‘Circular Solutions; Supporting Communities’ such a success.
Hosted at the RADDISON BLU Hotel in Glasgow on November 23rd, our 2022 Annual Conference was our first in person conference in two years. We were delighted to welcome our members and the circular third sector in Scotland back in person this year.
Our theme of ‘Circular Solutions; Supporting Communities’ focused on the crucial social and environmental impacts our members have in their communities, who are working to survive and thrive under the cost of living and climate crises.
We were delighted also to launch our 2022 Impact Report of the same name, ‘Circular Solutions; Supporting Communities’ which celebrates our members, who are ‘on the ground’ across the country, responding to changes in standards of living for communities, and providing life changing services, which protect the environment and have invaluable social outcomes.
Special thanks to our host Dr Heather Reid, and our speakers; Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity Ms. Lorna Slater, Iain Gulland CEO of Zero Waste Scotland, Simon Flemington of Moray Waste Busters, Marian Brown of Ostrero, John Dickie of Child Poverty Action Group, Jon Molyneux of FareShare UK, Beth Mukushi of SCVO, Eimear Montague of Northern Ireland Resources Network, and Oscar Planells of RREUSE.
