Circular Economy Bill Consultation Members Policy Briefing with Ms. Lorna Slater MSP
Circular Communities Scotland is delighted to invite you to our Members Policy Briefing for the Circular Economy Bill Consultation, where we will be joined by Ms Lorna Slater MSP, Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity.
Circular Communities Scotland welcomes the Scottish Government’s consultation for the Scottish Circular Economy Bill, and are calling for the bill to be as strong and ambitious as possible.
This consultation will help shape what the circular economy will look like in Scotland. We know we want to see reuse policies that tackle consumption at the heart of Scotland’s Circular Economy Bill, outlined in our ‘Policy Paper for the Circular Economy‘, and we also want to give our members, and the circular third sector in Scotland, the opportunity to talk with the Minister to share your views.
Your input will help ensure our membership and the circular third sector in Scotland is heard for this critical piece of legislation, that could have far reaching and positive benefits for our sector.
The purpose of this event is twofold –
1. To give our members and attendees the chance to inform us on our collective response to the Consultation.
2. To give our members and attendees support and advice to enable you to get involved and make your own individual response to the Consultation.
The event will encompass a presentation from the Minister followed by a Q&A with Ms Slater, a briefing from Circular Communities Scotland and then member discussions.
This is an online, digital event. Please secure your place by registering via this link. You will then be sent details of how to join on the day.
If you would like to see see reuse policies that tackle consumption at the heart of Scotland’s Circular Economy Bill, as outlined in our ‘Policy Paper for the Circular Economy‘, please sign our policy paper here.
