Circular Communities Scotland (previously CRNS) is a small but rapidly growing charity, doubling our staff and turnover in the last year.
We are a membership network with a vision for a thriving circular economy in Scotland with local communities benefiting from the social, environmental, and economic outcomes. With a growing membership of over 230 charities and social enterprises we are always looking for new ways to support the reuse, repair and recycling third sector and see our vision become a reality.
Part of the important work we do to support a circular economy is our Reuse Consortium. A self-sustaining business model, the consortium is made up of Circular Communities Scotland members who provide reuse furniture and white goods to local authorities and housing associations across Scotland through a Scotland Excel Framework Agreement. Circular Communities Scotland is the lead partner in this Consortium.
The Reuse Consortium Coordinator is responsible for managing, developing, and promoting the Reuse Consortium across Scotland. As this position is a maternity cover, your primary focus will be to keep the Consortium running smoothly, supporting Consortium members to provide the best possible service to local authorities and housing associations, ensuring that we maintain an excellent relationship with Scotland Excel and fulfil all reporting obligations. As the Circular Communities Scotland staff member with specific focus on the Consortium, its continued success will rely on your organisation, networking, relationship building, communication skills and steady hand in managing the Consortium. Although not a specific focus of the maternity cover, you will be encouraged to pursue any growth and development opportunities for the Consortium during your time in post.
We are determined to get the right person to join our strong team which is why we are open to exploring different options regarding place of work (office, hybrid or home-based). Whilst a 4-day week is preferred, we are also willing to consider 3 days or up to full-time working for the right candidate. Please make any location or hours-based requirements clear in your application. At all levels of the organisation, we are strongly committed to staff wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion.
Full details about the role can be found in the job description and person specification. If you have any questions or just want to set up a confidential no obligation conversation to find out more about the role then please email info@circularcommunities.scot.
We are asking for applications in the form of a tailored CV plus a 1-2 page covering letter setting out how you meet the requirements for this role. Applications should be uploaded to our recruitment portal before 5pm on Wednesday 25th January 2023.
