Despite the restrictions and challenges of COVID-19, our Reuse Consortium members are pulling together to provide much needed furniture and white goods for households across Scotland, from Aberdeenshire to Fife.
Scottish Housing News recently featured the very special work of our Reuse Consortium, especially at this difficulty time, in working collectively to help people in need in their communities. Stella’s Voice based in Peterhead were asked by Aberdeenshire Council to provide quality reuse items for 10 properties, but their stock of reuse goods is dwindling as donations have ceased due to the coronavirus lockdown. Consortium members Furniture Plus and Castle Furniture Project, both in Fife, and Tayside Reusers in Dundee, were able to help, and together they have been able to help 30 folk to move into furnished properties.
