Circular Communities Scotland would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who supported our Share and Repair Network‘s 2024 #ShareRepairAware campaign.

In 2021, we announced we were looking forward to setting up and overseeing the Share and Repair Network, supported by Scottish Government and Zero Waste Scotland, in partnership with Edinburgh Tool Library and Edinburgh Remakery.

The Share and Repair Network aims to significantly increase sharing and repair facilities across the country, in order to reduce consumption, and the #ShareRepairAware campaign helps raise awareness of the social and economic benefits of choosing sharing and repairing over buying new.

Sharing and repairing are incredible opportunities to live more sustainably, change the way you consume, fight climate change and save money in the cost-of-living crisis. They are also great ways to support local charities and social enterprises that give back to communities across Scotland.

We’d like to thank all of our members, supporters, peers, and of course the public for helping the Share and Repair Network spread the word and inspiring others to pledge to be #ShareRepairAware, learn about sharing and repairing behaviours, and sharing and repairing projects local to them.

You can still visit the Share and Repair Network’s campaign page or explore the rest of its website to learn about sharing and repairing, what it means, how you can get involved, and what local projects are near you.

We’d also like to thank everyone who attended the Share and Repair Network at its second annual Share and Repair Gathering on February 29th 2024 at the Barracks, Stirling.
