The Circular Communities Scotland team is delighted to welcome Jane Dixon as maternity cover for our Share and Repair Coordinator position.
Jane has over 25 years experience of working in key roles within small business, arts and third sector organisations and has direct knowledge of the circular third sector in Scotland. Jane will be the main point of contact for the Share and Repair Network from September 15th 2023.
We would like to extend a huge congratulations to our permanent Share and Repair Coordinator Emma Erwin who will soon welcome an addition to her family, and we wish her all the best in her extended leave. We look forward to welcoming Emma back to her full-time role in 2024.
Jane says:
“I’m delighted to be joining Circular Communities Scotland in a role that supports the
growing Share and Repair Network. I was previously Project Manager for Remode in Paisley – a social enterprise that promotes sustainable clothing through an extensive programme of repair, upcycling and redesign workshops alongside events to promote clothing re-use, all supported by a broad volunteer programme.
Prior to that, my career spanned over 25 years of working for small arts, business and voluntary sector organisations both as a manager and freelancer, gaining skills in finance management, fundraising, project management and marketing. I hope my broad experience will prove useful in understanding the issues faced by members of the network and enable me to support the fantastic work that they are doing.
I am passionate about re-use and repair, and alongside my role with the Share and Repair Network I am currently studying for a diploma in upholstery and enjoying improving my upcycling and repair skills.”
